Meet the Team
WafflesMapleSyrup wouldn't be able to achieve the level of excitement, fun, drama, emotion, and impact in our collaborative storytelling if it wasn't for the wonderful individuals that grace us with their time and talent. We strongly believe that a diverse cast is critical to quality storytelling. Take a look at some of the folks that are involved in the making of our shows!

Waffles (Stefan)
Co-Founder / GM / Player
Hello Kind Hearts – I’m Waffles, aka Stefan Timmons (any/autistic). I recently completed my Nuclear Engineering and Technology Degree with a Cyber-security Minor. This was actually what I did when I was in the military (U.S. Navy) for 5 years. I ended up leaving the military after dealing with some severe mental health issues including suicide. After which, I moved to Minnesota and knew next to no one. I met some cool peeps during that time, when looking for online TTRPGs. Eventually, this led to a text-based West-Marches style game, in which I met Syrup, who is now my better half in this business and life. All of this to say, TTRPGs have helped me through a hard spot in my life when there wasn’t really anything else. They give me something to put an overactive mind towards, all while developing worlds, characters, and friendships with everyone from the closest friends to the most random strangers. Without that, I’m not sure where I would be, but it wouldn’t be here. Recently as well, I have been on a journey of discovery with Autism, something that has come to allow me to know and treat myself better. My goal is now to use TTRPGs to tell amazing, quality stories for everyone else in the world, giving them something to stick their mind to when they need it the most. So, thank you, for helping allow us to make someone’s life a little easier.
Syrup (Ada)
Co-Founder / GM / Player
Hello friends! I’m Syrup, also known to some as Ada Hauser (she/they). I’m a foodie, a lifelong nerd, and an animal lover (as apparent by our dogs Nyx and Bacchus who cameo on stream occasionally). My day job is being a solutions specialist in the HCM & Payroll industry, but my degree is in Graphic Design. I design most of our show logos, stream overlays, and website. So, I like to think I have a nice balance between the technical and the creative sides of my life. I first decided to get into TTRPGs on a complete whim as another venue for “nerding out”. It was one of the best decisions of my life. The community I found is one of the most welcoming and kind hearted group of individuals I’ve had the pleasure to be around. This community not only introduced me to the love of my life, but also gave me the confidence to pursue my own mental health journey. I’ve experienced the wonders of therapy and even got officially diagnosed with ADHD, all of which has considerably helped improve my daily life. I want to give back to the community that has helped me so much by using our platform as a means to promote the education, awareness, and empowerment of mental health. All through the lens of collective storytelling and improv. I hope you enjoy the stories we weave together!

Outcast & Outclassed
Jacob (he/him) is a mega extrovert that Co-Founded the Empatheatre, a production company where he plays video games and TTRPGs with his friends on Twitch while keeping Empathy and Diversity at the Forefront. He’s Storyteller for Eulalia 5e: A Redwall Story on The Empatheatre as well as the Dungeon Master for Duval and Dragons a 5e Campaign on the SoMattyGamez Twitch channel and plays Professor Isonove in Dragonlance: Dragons of Rebirth and Hideyaki on Outcast and Outclassed, a Pathfinder 2e AP on WaffleMaplesSyrup’s Channel. He’s also killed Tiamat twice, no big deal. You’ll find him yelling about something positive on Twitter and Instagram. He’ll blow up any Charity TTRPG Stream you’re in. Watch.
Maria (they/she) is often found entertaining viewers on their Twitch streams or performing in various TTRPG Actual Play shows. A proud Puerto Rican, pet parent to three perfect cats, and fueled by coffee, Maria strives to be a positive light in the world while making spaces where people are empowered to be their true and authentic selves.
StarShinobi (she/her) hails from the United States Frozen North, so should you ever meet, the first conversation will probably be about the weather. She is active in the ttrpg Twitter space encouraging others to follow their ttrpg dreams and creating magic items from time to time. Her biggest nerd cred is probably that she once did 232 necrotic damage in a single strike as a death cleric, no joke. Nat 20 on a 9th level Inflict Wounds with a Channel Divinity Touch of Death. She cried a little. Star is a dnd supplement writer, being part of writing teams for the Plothooks titles Dissaster Hamsters, Villaingers and hopefully, Disaster Hamsters 2. She has worked with Creators Assemble on their Journey to Nyx mini campaign and has finally found her way to the WMS family as she takes her first swing at Pathfinder 2e!

Journeys Adrift
Hi Kind Hearts, I’m VarSoh (the ‘S’ is always capitalized) and I play Dr. Len on the Journeys Adrift podcast and stream. Currently, I’m a second year undergraduate student with future hopes to go into law. I’ve decided rules-lawyering in Waffles’ campaigns isn’t enough for me, so I’ve expanded my market share. Speaking of Waffles’ campaigns, my first foray into TTRPGs was with Waffles and Karik a few years back, when I got a sudden hankering for tabletop gaming and found Waffles on a Roll20 forum. Since then, I’ve played a whole bunch of campaigns with them and the rest of the WMS crew, and have even taken to DMing my own games. TTRPGs are important to me because I’m a big fan of writing and storytelling, and tabletops are really the only way to exercise that passion while also having a great time with friends. It’s magical to see your buddies get together and try their hardest to weave as awesome of a story as possible, all while fighting imaginative villains and screaming at dice.
Hey everyone, I am Karik and I play as Tetsu on Journeys Adrift! I work the typical office job during the day, and I spend a lot of my evenings doing TTRPGs. Typically a DM myself, but I have been lucky to find myself at Waffle’s table which turned into this lovely WMS community.
I’ve played TTRPGs off and on since I was in my early teens with some friends I made back in freshman year of highschool, and then again in college, and really got back into it maybe a little over 5 years ago. The escapism and stress relief is always good for me, but my favorite aspect is the storytelling and challenging yourself to not just tell a good story, but to react to how the other players and DM alter the narrative you set out to tell because you get to learn more about yourself and the other players in doing so. Because I typically play online I am lucky to say I’ve been able to experience a broad range of stories from people all around the world and I look forward to hearing those new voices as they join the TTRPG community and how they will challenge me as a player and DM, and I hope everyone finds the table that is right for them!
Hi Friends! I’m Mystic, and I play as Aizen on Journeys Adrift. When I’m not involved in the stream or playing other TTRPG’s, I’m working as an aspiring author. I enjoy working in a number of genres but my main focus right now is a fantasy project. When I’m not writing I enjoy my fair share of light novels and anime as well as a good videogame. I actually came to tabletop games pretty late in high school as a means to practice my writing on an internet forum- a forum that I still spend a good deal of time on even now. I turned to RPGs as a means of improving myself, both in terms of honing my storytelling talents and my public speaking skills. I found my friends here at WMS through my first real attempt to be a part of a live game so that I could learn from different perspectives for instance. Even more than self-improvement, TTRPGs have given me the means to escape and experiment with new experiences and wear new personas. As someone with a lifelong physical disability who needs to rely on physical aids to move around, TTRPGs have given me the means to take off my own limiters. They create a space where I can be in a different body or explore things that would be difficult in my real life. It gives me the means to walk around and go around on adventures with friends where we make our own rules and we can choose what gambles we want to take. With our dice in hand, we can make our dreams even that much more real and we can make the people we wish we could be, the people we are. Even if only for a few hours. To share those stories with you all is above and beyond anything I believed possible.
Hey you wonderful peeps! I’m Cooper, and I play as Mote on Journeys Adrift. Outside of stream times, I work in Software Engineering. And I’m one of those programmers who doesn’t enjoy doing tons of side projects outside of work, nah I prefer my aspiring voice acting career! And PC gaming… That’s not to say I don’t enjoy other TTRPG content outside of stream. I still have a love for D&D 5e, which was my first system for my first campaign. Technically that game is still unfinished, and I miss that group playing together. Getting people from far away together to enjoy a time to hang out and escape from the stresses of real life has always been the norm for my games. I’ve enjoyed the acceptance of the people I’ve met in this sphere as we all jump into characters that range from what we present as in real life to representations of parts of ourselves we don’t get to explore. TTRPG’s are a really freeing and welcoming place!
